US slaps sanctions against 12 firms, 10 people linked to Russia
WASHINGTON, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions against 10 individuals and 12 companies linked to Russia, as seen by PRIME in a statement on the authority’s website on Wednesday.
“Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed full blocking sanctions against 22 individuals and entities across multiple countries related to a sanctions evasion network supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex,” the statement read.
The sanctions cover citizens of Latvia, Singapore, Russia, Israel, Uzbekistan and Cyprus, and companies registered in Singapore, Israel, Latvia, Cyprus and Bulgaria.
